YES -- We are looking for a couple good drivers for weekday Magic Valley routes; one of which may include a weekend run to Boise or Pocatello. Please contact us at 733-1998, or submit your resume to childsafetransportation@msn.com.
Q. Are your drivers background checked?
A. Yes, all of our drivers must pass a criminal background check initiated by fingerprinting at the Twin Falls Sheriff’s Department and conducted in compliance with the requirements and guidelines of the Department of Health and Welfare.
Q. How do I get started?
A. All it takes to get started is a phone call to Child Safe . We discuss your visitation needs and how we can provide a plan for your family -- then we send you a contract and get started transporting your precious cargo.
Q. What do you mean by a contract?
A. All of our services are provided on a contractual basis to reserve seating for your child(ren). We offer three different options: School year contracts (Sept. thru May); Vacation contracts (June thru August); and single event/one-time contracts. The single event/one-time contract is a great way to try out Child Safe for a weekend before you commit to a longer contract. As set forth in our Contract, pre-payment is required in order to guarantee your child(ren) a reserved seat on our shuttle. We would be happy to send you a contract in the mail for your review. Review the contract and feel free to call us with questions.
Q. What are the benefits to signing up for a longer contract versus using a single event contract every time our family wants to use your service?
A. Great question...there are a few benefits. For a contracted family...you choose your rides each month and we quarantee those rides for you. With a single event contract you are not quaranteed a ride for the weekend you want because if the shuttle is full or cancelled will can not be able to accomidate your family (the only reason Child Safe would cancel a route is due to lack of reserved seats from contracted famililes). Single event contracts pay a higher rate than contracted families.
Q. Do you ever cancel routes due to weather?
A. Yes...we follow the driving restrictions put in place by the Dept. of Transportation. Child Safe also reserves the right to cancel a route if our company feels the weather conditions are to dangerous for travel. We will never put our clients or our drivers in a dangerous driving situation if it can be avoided. However, sometimes we are in route when the weather changes and we will drive safely to deliver your child to you. All cancelled routes by Child Safe will be creditied back to the contracted families to use at a different date.
Q. What else is covered in your contracts?
A. Our contract covers the statement of services to be performed, contracted amount and payment plan for services, our route depot centers, terms and conditions and policies and procedures under which we perform. The scope of the terms of agreement by both parties are spelled out.
Q. Can my child eat or drink anything on the van?
A. No...our policy is no food or beverages are to be eaten on the vans (sports water bottles are the exception). .
Q. Can my children bring games, books, computers or anything else to occupy their time?
A. Yes...we encourage all kids to bring along an activity or two to keep themselves occupied.
Q. What does Child Safe provide for entertainment on the drive?
A. Child Safe has a selection of video games and DVD’s -- some of our drivers and/or attendants like to sing, too.
Q. What if our weekend visitation changes each month?
A. Each month...you will receive your statement along with a calander. All you need to do is... fill in the calander with the days you are needing a ride for your child(ren) for the next month and include it with you payment...we will reserve those dates for you.
Q. What if my child needs to change to a different weekend after I’ve sent you my monthly calander?
A. If there is room on the shuttle for a different weekend, we are more that happy to change the weekend for you. We reserve these weekends so your child is quaranteed a seat on the shuttle -- according to your visitation and/or court-ordered parenting plan. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Q. What happens if my child doesn’t use the reserved seats for that month, will we get a refund?
A. Yes and No...Our cancellation policy states that we need you to cancel your next months reserved rides by the 25th of the previous month. Child Safe needs your cancellation in writing by letter or email before the 25th of the month to cancel for the next month. If you do not cancel according to the Child Safe policy we will not be able to wave the monthly payment. Child Safe will not refund any previous payment, but we will be happy to credit you toward a future ride. At Child Safe we understand emergencies and will work with each family individually if an emergency arises.
Q. Can I cancel my contract at any time?
A. Yes...You may cancel your contract that you have in place with Child Safe at anytime throughout the contracted time frame. All you need to do is send in writing by letter or email your cancellation request by the 25th of any month to have your contract cancelled. We certainly understand circumstances change and want to be sensitive to your needs and desires.
Q. What if I only want to use your shuttle service periodically, and I don’t want to sign up for a lengthy contract?
A. We offer a single/one-time contract for those who can’t or don’t want to commit to a longer contract. However, there is a definite downside to using a single/one-time contract -- if there is a seat available on a scheduled route for the weekend you want you’re in luck, -- if not, Child Safe will not be able to transport your child for that particular weekend. Child Safe reserves the right to cancel any route that has not been reserved by contracted clientes. A single/one-time contract is a great way to try our service to see if it works for you and your child. Single-event contract riders will pay $5.00 extra each way; however, first time riders may receive a promotional discount -- check the promotions page to see promotions in effect.
